Câmpulung Row Houses

Six terraced homes, arranged in two groups of three. Each unit can serve as a permanent dwelling or as tourist accommodation.

Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Romania

2025–2026

Six homes, a shared rhythm.

The project begins with a familiar residential type: the terraced house. Repetition gives the ensemble its organisation, while dividing the six homes into two smaller groups sets a more domestic scale. Each dwelling is planned to accommodate either a permanent household or visitors using it as tourist accommodation.

Life at garden level

Kitchen, dining and living areas occupy a connected ground-floor space. The rear garden extends this shared setting outdoors, giving each home its own relationship with open space.

A guest WC and storage beneath the staircase complete the level. These supporting elements are part of the plan’s economy, allowing the principal room to remain clear and useful.

A quieter floor above

Upstairs, two bedrooms and an office share a bathroom. The separation between the communal ground floor and the rooms above establishes a straightforward rhythm between gathering and retreat.

The office adds another use to the domestic programme. Alongside sleeping and shared living spaces, it allows the plan to recognise the quieter tasks that may accompany a longer stay.

Repetition with a domestic purpose

The interest of the scheme lies in what the repeated unit can support. A direct connection to a garden, useful storage and a legible arrangement of rooms are small decisions with a daily effect. Together they give the six-home ensemble its common foundation.
